Author: tecwynsavage Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.england.sal.general/6596.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My "A to Z of Early Occupations" gives the following definitions: Breach maker - a person who made the breach for guns. Breakman - a bricklayer. A Google search found an article on The Sistine Chapel, which included the following: "The comprehensive restoration work that started on 7th November, 1984 took ten years to complete; it included the removal of the 'works' made by Daniele da Volterra. Daniele Volterra was an Italian mannerist painter (nick named II Braghettone (the breaches maker) as he was engaged by the church to give vests to the exposed parts of human bodies pictured in Michelangelo's images)." Could mean something! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
