Can someone on this list give me a lesson on "Where do I go from here?"  What  can I search on line and/or what can I purchase to find my missing ancestors?   My gr gr gr grandfather, Thomas BROOKES, b 1787-1791 in Shropshire, appears in the 1841 census in Hordley with his wife, Elizabeth, and two daughters, Ann Elizabeth and Hannah.  Daughter Ann Elizabeth was baptized in 1823, and I am assuming that father Thomas and mother Elizabeth were most probably married in the neighborhood of 1820ish.   Question #1 What should I be looking at to find their   marriage record?  Would the only source be the OPRs for Hordley or Ellesmere?  Are they available in any form?   Ann Elizabeth (who goes by just Ann) is my gr gr grandmother.  She married Henry WILLIAMS in 1846 in Ellesmere.  She and Henry had seven children that I know of....the eldest b 1847 in Bagley was Harriet, my gr grandmother.  The only information I have about Henry WILLIAMS is taken from the censuses 1841 - 1891 and his death record in 1897.  I have no parents for him; I have no siblings for him!!   Question #2 With a last name of WILLIAMS, how do I select the correct Henry WILLIAMS from all of the WILLIAMS in that area?    My BROOKES family and my WILLIAMS family have both been at a standstill for years.  I am hoping that someone on this list can point me in the right direction.   Thank you for reading my plea, Barbara (in California)
