Hi list, I am trying to find the Mother of Cyril Wright, In the 1911 census he is living with is Grandparents age 5 at 1 Park Terrace,Wittington Road,Oswestry. I found a Cyril Wright on free bmd Apr-June 1906 6a 685. but not Mothers name. Any help most welcome P G Wright

Hello Cyril I think you are the point where you need to invest some money in the Birth Certificate for Cyril WRIGHT. This should give you both parents names provided he was not illegitimate in which case it may only provide the mother's name. Before you buy the certificate do check the indexes for a year each side to make sure there isn't another person with the same name in that area. If there is you may have to get both certificates to be sure which is the correct one. Once you have the place of birth from the certificate you should also check the local Baptism Register just in case that adds anything.
