I believe that Lucia A. Howard shown as age 13 on the 1860 Rock Island Illinois census is my ggg grandmother. I am trying to verify if this Lucia A. Howard is the same as my Lucy A. Howard. Lucy A. Howard was born about 1847. She married Jacob P. Bien 9-14-1865 in Muscatine County, Iowa. >From Jacob's Union Pension file, I found that Lucy A. Howard had a brother, A.L. Howard. On the 1860 Rock Island census, there is a brother, age 9, named Andrew Lewis Howard. Jacob Bien is found 2 pages before this family on the 1860 census. I really feel this is the correct Howard family. I just need some verification. Also on this same 1860 census, Andrew Howard's wife is listed as Judith Caroline Howard. Andrew Howard's mother-in-law is living with them on this same census. Her name is Lucy Condon. Someone, please tell me that I've found the right Lucy/Lucia A. Howard.
