Hello Heather The Shropshire Burials Index is part of the National Burials Index for England and Wales and as such all entries are eventually passed on to the National Index but in the Second Edition of the National Index Shropshire has about 168,000 entries, whereas Version 4 of the Shropshire Index which has only been released in the last few weeks has about 400,000 entries. See http://www.sfhs.org.uk/ for information about Version 4. Don't forget there is also an index of Surnames which appear in transcripts of Shropshire MIs - see the web site above then click Resources.
