John EVANS [c.1831] marr. Elizabeth HOGGINS [c.1832] marr. at Madley in 2nd qtr 1858. Children. William 1860, Caroline 1862, Elizabeth 1864, ** John [II] 1867, and Edward 1869 ** John[II] married Martha THOMPSON in 1893, but in Burnley, Lancs. Gordon, You need to supply more information like where John was born. You should have this from 1871 and 1881 census. Then it should just be a case of following him back through census records. 1841 and 1851 will possibly find him with parents. You can then use Family Search to verify parents and find their marriage. If in Lancashire you might need Lancs OLPC. But without a birthplace there will be thousands of possibilities. Peter in Sydney
