Hi Charlie I haven't been able to trace my WEAVER's back that far but I do have WEAVER's in Shropshire. Edward WEAVER bap 13 Jun 1790 Neen Sollars parents Richard and Martha. They also had Samuel 1793 and William 1795. Hello Barbara, in AUS. I don't have any WEAVERs that late in Shropshire. My immigrant ancestor, Samuel, arrived in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1623. I have 3 Richard's in my database. One was christened at Chelmarsh, 28 Jan 1572/3. Christening record states "son of Thomas of Sutton" [a village s.e. of Chelmarsh] This Thomas, as well as his brother, my William (1540) were shown in Chelmarsh records as "from Worfield Parish". Another Richard was Christened at Cardington 11 Mar 1598. He was a brother to my Samuel (1600). The 3rd Richard is the one who married Catherine CROFTE 9 Feb 1567 at Chelmarsh. I have no information on his lineage. None of these Richards are in my direct line. I have several Edwards, but all of them are much later and born in Ashe County, NC, the very n.w corner of the state. I know this is not much help to you, but may be something you can file away in case you get back to the 15-1600s in Shropshire. So many Williams, Richards, Samuels, etc. doesn't make it any easier. Where are you in AUS? I have friends there through an antique automobile club I used to run.
