Hello Pauline I would suggest you start by looking at the Access to Archives (A2A) web site at http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/ and just do a search for Alveley. This is part of The National Archives. Whilst on the A2A web site the Frequently asked questions link on the right includes a link to The National Register of Archives (NRA) at http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/nra Again I would suggest you put Alveley in the Place Name search and see what comes up. These two sources allow you to locate records which are stored away from Shropshire as well as those stored locally.
