The families I'm researching are: DAVIES - Everton/West Derby, Lancs; Oswestry, Shropshire; Liscard, Cheshire and Montgomeryshire OWENS - Flintshire and Shropshire Thank you, Susan
Susan, I have some baptism transcriptions I copied from original parish registers and BT's of Ellesmere, Shropshire (next door to Flintshire) of Owen people from 1803 to 1812. On the odd occasion they were put down as Owens and were from villages around Ellesmere such as Northwood, Eastwick, Trench. Also have some burials of Owen/s same district 1799 to 1822 (one from Oswestry). There are several marriages from 1789 to 1859. The baptisms & marriages will be on the IGI but there is more details from the transcriptions. If you could look at the IGI and see if any might be yours I will then be able to give you the full details. I won't have all of them, but will have most. All being, there were not all that many Owen/s around Ellesmere during the dates I mention. I cannot recall my reason for transcribing these people many years ago but it was probably for another researcher. I also have almost all Davies BMD's from St. Mary Ellesmere and some surrounding chapels, but doubt if any of these are yours. Cheers Graham Melbourne Oz
