According to the 1911 Census Elizabeth, the wife of Joseph Thornes, was born at Whixall Moss around 1882 (she was 29). I'd like to know what her maiden name was. I couldn't find the marriage in FreeBMD so I started looking into the 1891 Census hoping she would still be living in Whixall Moss but after checking all the descriptions of the enumeration districts for Whitchurch, which seemed the obvious choice, and Wem, Whixall Moss does not appear.
