Hi, I am new to this list and am trying to help a friend out. The family surnames are ATTWOOD and LEWIS. Circa 1901 the ATTWOOD family were living in Whittington, Oswestry and ask if anyone can help with the name of the parish church at that time. I am trying to locate the baptism records for a George and David Attwood born circa 1894 and 1899 respectively. Thank you in anticipation Norma (Turner)
Hello Norma The parish church at Whittington, Shropshire is Saint John the Baptist. I realise it is somewhat earlier than your present research but the Whittington Registers were printed and Indexed up to 1812 so that will help you if the family were in the parish that early.
