I'm trying to explore the 18th and 19th century family relationships and property of the Wightwick family based in Albrighton (Shifnal) having plucked dozens of names out of the pre-census Parish records. Apart from Burke's peerage, and the Rev. Blakeway book on Albrighton village, does anyone know of any good info on the family or its pedigree? Unhelpfully the surname was spelled a dozen different ways (Whyghtwick, Whiteweeke, Whitwick etc.) They are probably related to the Wightwicks of Wightwick Manor fame in nearby Tettenhall/Wolverhampton. Documents and wills appear to be thin on the ground in Shropshire and Staffs record offices and TNA. I'm particularly interested in late 18th century Thomas Wightwick and wife Anne Roden (heiress of Ruckley Grange) and his parents William and Anne, and any present day descendents. Any help at all gratefully received. Thanks, Robert
