Although I've been on numerous mailing lists over many years, this is my first foray into Shropshire. I'm struggling to find records for the origins of the above couple. IGI has the 1808 marriage of George Colley to Cahrlotte Yeaton. I wonder if anyone has access to or could direct me to PR's. I'm hoping they might contain extra information like ages, parents, witnesses etc or even confirmation that they were both of the parish. There are five possible christenings of George in Shropshire between 1770-1790. One in Wellington in 1771 seems likely, but that would make him 36 when married which seems a bit old for the times. They had seven children between 1810 and 1825. George's death is registered in March 1838. Are there records for Wellington Cemeteries or other local Shropshire records that might help with this family. It doesn't get easier.
