Hi Susie, On the 1901 census for John (Snr) Watkins and Amelia Watkins, John (Jnr) is not listed in the household. His brother Arthur is listed with an occupation of Journeyman Cricker - possibly a mistake by the ennumerator and should read 'clicker'. Have you found Arthur on the 1911 census as this might confirm the connection to shoe/boot making?
