Greetings Advice please, I’m a bit perplexed! In 1871 census Samuel & Ann SMITH and five children are living in Brandon St, Liverpool, Lancashire. Ann’s mother, Elizabeth DOBSON is also recorded there. In 1881, the census shows the family has moved to Baschurch, Shropshire. Samuel is described as ‘widower’. A 9 yr old daughter Louisa is recorded. Is there any way to find out when they moved? The question is when and where did wife Ann die? I presume it would be after 1872 because of Louisa’s age. Ann may have died in childbirth? Or anytime up to April 1881.... In Shropshire or Lancashire? There are many, many deceased Ann Smiths of accurate age, in both districts, over the 9 year span, recorded through various sites. She does not have a middle name on their Marriage Certificate. With the wee challenge of this name, can our Ann be found? Many thanks Helen
