I have been looking for a marriage of Robert Wade and Ellen his wife. He gives his hometown as Newcastle under Lyme in the children's birth baptisms later. I cannot find a marriage to an Ellen but have found the lady in question by the name of Eleanor Preston. I have found her death and the details match this lady's birth. She was baptized in Market Drayton 27 August 1775, daughter of William Preston. When she married Robert Wade 22 May 1792 she was pregnant. She also was a minor. Does anyone have access to the marriage record for this marriage and if she admitted to being underage so needing a licence. If so can anyone advise me the best place to look for the licence info? Jan
