Hi everyone, I have gained so much from reading all the posts on this list. Thanks for sharing so much information. I'm searching for Bayliss, specifically William and Jeremiah, in Clun (my g-g and g-g-g grandfathers). I want to thank Sandra for her tip. I followed her instructions to go to the site she listed. I have now found my g-g-g-g grandparents, more info on their children and children's children--christening dates, spouses, etc. This is wonderful news! I have cousins to share this info with, who are always happy to know more about our families. Happy New Year!! Mine is when searching the IGI batch number at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNum bers.htm don't enter a name just search the whole batch. There are some wierd and wonderful name spellings, perhaps one may be yours. Easy to do with a short batch or if your name is at the beginning of the alphabet but don't give up. Use your immagination when searching. Remember it could be a name that has been transcribed wrongly as well as the original name being miss spelled etc etc........ Happy hunting Sandra

PALMER go to: http://www.pacefamilyhistory.info/records/palmer.htm You'll see the PALMER family, Wrockwardine, High Ercall, Wellington. They seemed to disappear from that area after a generation or two. I've been trying to find out where they went. I think one branch went to Middlesex County Virginia in the latter 1600s as a son, JOHN PACE showed up there and PALMER was also in the church records for generations after. There is a gap in time between my PALMERs and yours so it may be interesting trying to fill the gap. ************************************************
