Robert BRAITHWAITE and Harriet MICKLETHWAITE were married in Penistone in 1849; their children were - John b1850 Hunshelf; Thomas born 1852 Wortley; Jane born 1854 Hunshelf; Benjamin b1856 Hunshelf, Joseph b1858 Hunshelf; Josiah (my Grandfather ) b1859 Greenmoor; Robert Reynard b1864 Bolsterstone; George b1868 Bolsterstone. Robert BRAITHWAITE was b 1824 in Hartwith, Yorkshire and Harriet MICKLETHWAITE was b 1827 in Bradfield, Yorkshire. Their children also seemed to have large families - is there anyone out there researching the BRAITHWAITE family - I would love to exchange information. I have hit a brickwall trying to find Robert's birth; his father was Christopher BRAITHWAITE, and I can't trace him either. I have found the family (Not Christopher) in various later Census records, its just the earlier information which I can't find - I have not managed to find Christopher or Robert BRAITHWAITE nor Harriet MICKLETHWAITE on the 1841 Census as yet although I have Harriet's family, she is not with her parents Benjamin and Sarah. Hi Hilary, the 1841 census does have a Christopher Braithwaite.... 1337/5 27a Sheffield South 10 Charles Street Christopher Braithwaite 80 Burial.
