I am interested to see if there was a shop at 190 Hanover Street in 1924 and if so, how long Mary Woodward had resided at the place. A relative says that she had 2 shops at various times, one was Fitzwilliam Street and I have those details. Mary died at the Hanover Street address in 1924. Any help appreciated. Aileen in Australia

hello Aileen, Can't tell you about 1924 precisely, but in the 1919/20 White's Directory, there is a Mrs Ellen Andrews listed at 190 Hanover St in the street directory. There is nothing to indicate it might be a shop (though there is a shopkeeper at no. 188).
