Mum got some tinned spam -we ate it for tea and we all got food poisoning--stomach pumps for all and dad who had eaten the most nearly died----someone who had packed it had LEPROSY--still never eat spam. Children had free cod liver oil - a whole tablespoonful was ladled into us daily It was awful.
