Hi Before they closed down, Ellis Son and Parramore [1980s] had a shop on the other side of the road to the Hallamshire Hospital but a bit lower down Glossop Road. This was opened to cater for people visiting the hospital who needed appliances like splints, trusses and other medical aids. The Boundary stone between Nether Hallam and Upper Hallam was in Glossop Road just above the University Union building. It was just outside my dentist's and whenever I went there as a child, I used to notice this little triangular stone by the gate and wonder what it meant. Hope this is helpful, Best wishes JUDY ELKINGTON _www.elkingtonfamily.com_ (http://www.elklingtonfamily.com/) ELKINGTON-L@rootsweb.com
