    2. Hi I am researching my gt.grandfather's rise from Pawn Broker to owning a large Tailors and Gentleman's outfitters in West Bars. I know where the shop was but I am interested how long they were in business. They were there in 1900 and in 1914 they were making uniforms for the Army. They were one of the first company's to make ready-made uniforms for soldiers. I wondered if anyone has any later directories which would show the business as I know it continued until at least 1920 and may be longer. The original owner was William Rawson Surplice Whitworth but I know his son Ralph carried on the business for some years after his death. Many thanks Judy Elkington
