    3. Hello listers I have recently begun to exchange family history with a very, very distant relative of mine. As a consequence I have information relating to the surnames STOKES and MOSS, both Sheffield families, who from memory have received very little or no coverage on this site. Charles MOSS and his wife Sarah, had 2 daughters Laura and Mary and 2 sons Walter and Albert. In 1881 the family were at 113 Heeley Green, Sheffield. Albert married my maternal grandmothers sister, Charlotte Ann Dale. George STOKES b 1805 in Sheffield, had a son William who married Mary Ann Goodwin in 1844 in Sheffield. William and Mary had a son, William, who married Ann WATSON in 1871 at St John's, Park in Sheffield. William and Ann's son, George, married my Mom's cousin, Beatrice May MOSS Anyone interested in the above, please contact me for further info. I have also received a copy of an extremely interesting document, The Inventory and Valuation of the ' BARREL INN ' Pond St in Sheffield, dated July 20th, 1903. 5 A4 sides of info. relating to the smoke room, bar vaults, entrance passage, tap room, kitchen, 3 attics, landing and stairs, 2 bedrooms, club room, front of house, butchers shop, stable, wash house, 2 cellars, cellar passage and stock in trade. Total Value £ 201-1-2d Anyone interested then please get in touch Roger Stevenson in Sheffield
