Craig. What a coincidence it was only yesterday that I was asked for my opinion on Mary Ann Gascoigne JEWITT. Maxine Weather from Sheffield is researching this family. She had found the marriage certificate which only gave her name as Mary Ann Gascoigne, and the various census were she is listed as Mary A.G.ROBERTS. She then found a baptism in 1802 for Mary Ann Gascoigne daughter of John and Mary (I think it was Mary) JEWITT in 1802 and she asked my opinion on this, given that one of the sons had a middle name of JEWITT, I came to the conclusion that the incumbant who married them had missed JEWITT off the certificate thinking that Gascoigne was her surname. She will be at the archives next Wednesday and if it is alright with you I will pass your email to her. I'm not sure if she is on the internet, but I know she uses it at the archives. Kind Regards Angela (LEE) Eckington U.K.
