Hi Is anyone descended from or familiar with the family of WHITWORTH from Burrow Lees House at Hillsborough. The family is descended from William Rawson Surplice Whitworth of Nottingham. Although William set up as a Pawnbroker in Sheffield before 1840 the family were originally from Nottingham. The Whitworths of Burrow Lees were Frederick Whitworth son of WRS Whitworth, his wife Anna [Hannah] Maria Parkin and their children Herbert b.1869, William P. Whitworth b.1874 and Ruth A. Whitworth 1879. Their father was a Coal Owner and Merchant and moved onto making Stove Grates by 1901. They were all at home in the 1901 census at Burrow Lees. If anyone has any connection to this family especially after 1901 could you please let me have any information.
