In reply to Hugh's message Hugh, I don't think this is the same family (1861 census) although I will do some more checking tonight. I have a contact from the village where the family came from and there is no record of Mary being born there. I think I wil have to send for the birth certificate from the Sheffield REgistrar office and see if they will look at the years either side.
