    3. Hello all, My grandfather, Norman Garside CHAPMAN, joined the Royal Engineers in 1914/1915, became 2533 Sapper Chapman, N.G.and was sent to France, arriving at the Western Front on 19 September 1915. Subsequently, he was gassed & wounded in the head and after a period of hospitalisation in England, was posted to the Royal Engineers, 20th Territorial Force Depot. Apparently, this depot was part/became part of the 3rd West Riding Field Company (Territorial Force), R.E. which was formed on 1-3-1917. On 2 Nov. 1917, Norman Chapman was honourably discharged from the Army due to disability and then lived with his parents at 202 South View Road, Sheffield until his marriage in 1922. Can anyone tell me more about the 3rd West Riding Field Company (Territorial Force) in general and the 20th Territorial Force Depot in particular? I'm most interested to know the location of the Depot - presumably somewhere in Sheffield? Thanks in anticipation, Barry in Tasmania.
