    3. Hello Jane, There are indeed different editions of Hunter's Hallamshire. The first edition was written by Hunter... the second edition (a lot more extensive work was written by Rev Gatty). There are other editions as well can't quite remember exactly how many re-prints exist... as you noted the first Edition does not contain as much information as the subsequent Editions. It is quite likely that you would find what you are looking for in the 2nd or more likely the Third Edition; 1875 version... Hope this helps. Coincidently one of my ancestors bought the annotated version of the Hallamshire from the estate of Hunter... They then (along with two other people) had it updated... It was supposed to be revised by Reverend Eastwood who was the son in Law of my ancestor, but Rev. Eastwood died and Rev. Gatty ended up re writing the Hallamshire... Kindest regards, Josephine, Ontario, Canada... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jane Hyatt" <jane.hyatt@btinternet.com> To: <ENG-SHEFFIELD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 08, 2005 8:12 PM Subject: [SHEFF] Hunter's Hallamshire > I'm hoping someone will be able to help me locate a book I borrowed from > the library 3 or 4 years ago. > > I'm fairly certain it was Hunter's Hallamshire and I photocopied the > pedigree of STEAD of Onesacre and a few other pages.
