    3. Jeremy, Please could you send me a copy of the information too? I'm descended from Thomas STEAD of Onesacre (bapt 25 April 1672, bur Bradfield 4 February 1739) and Elizabeth CRESWICK (daughter of Thomas CRESWICK of Boroughleigh - marriage settlement dated 1696). This info is taken from the STEAD pedigree in Hunter's Hallamshire. Their daughter Elizabeth married John WOODHEAD and granddaughter Elizabeth WOODHEAD married Robert HAWKE on 11 June 1770 (Robert and Elizabeth are my 5 x great grandparents). Any info very much appreciated. Kind regards. Jane Chesterfield (UK) Researching:- BARKER, BARTHOLOMEW, COOPER, CRAPPER, CRAWSHAW, EARNSHAW, HAWKE, HIBBERD, JESSOP, MILNER, STEAD(E), THOMPSON and WOOD, all in the Sheffield, Bradfield, Norton area. -----Original Message----- From: Jeremy Crawshaw [mailto:jeremy.crawshaw@talktalk.net] Sent: 02 June 2005 10:28 To: ENG-SHEFFIELD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [SHEFF] Whitworth Hello Judy, I don't have any connections to the WHITWORTH family but I do have a small extract about Burrowlee House which I could send to you which is taken from a book I have, 'Hillsborough by her People' (by: Hillsborough Local History Group). Having said that, the extract does not mention anything about the WHITWORTH family. The only names mentioned are Thomas STEADE who had the house built in 1711 and his wife Elizabeth CRESWICK (from the CRESWICK family who were Lords of the Manor of Owlerton). There is also a nice pen & ink drawing of the house which I could scan for you if this would be of use. If you have MS Word I could put both the drawing and text together and send off-list. Let me know if you would like either or both. Best Wishes Jeremy Crawshaw (Temp.
