Hello Elaine, Thank you for the reply. Apparently there were two John Moores' who were both 40 yrs and both married to a Mary, in the 1841 census. My John was my g-g-grandfather bn 1797 and was a Knife Blade Forger, so I guess the 38 New St was his right address and he and his family will show up on the Sheffield Park piece that you say will be completed soon. My grandfather was Harry Moore, son of William, who was one of Johns sons. A bit confusing I guess. William and his wife must have gone to his fathers house for the birth of Harry, for they lived at Bramber St., which must have been near St Georges, as that is where Harry was christened.
