Hi List I just thought I would let you all know that I have today received a copy of “The Forgotten Flood” DVD produced by Phil Parkin and I have to admit I think it is fabulous! Phil has captured this tragic event in a wonderfully interesting, educational and fascinating way. His use of old film clips, original flood photographs and modern day shots has been done very professionally. The narration by Rony Robinson is particularly good too. It is a wonderful keep sake for anyone interested in Sheffield’s history [and particularly the flood which, as some of you will already know, is a subject I am totally obsessed about!!]. I also make an appearance – a starring role – actually you get a quick glimpse of the back of my head [my best view] but if you blink you will miss it. Suits me though as I hate seeing myself on film but at least I am there, captured forever.
