Hi, Thank you to everyone involved with the Sheffield 1841 census project. I haven't been working on my family history for quite a while due to an injury. The first day I sit for more than a minute in front of the computer, I find the link to the site...and so many of my ancestors listed. If anyone has access to the actual 1841 census could you possibly check for additional info on the PLATTS families at Piece no 1327/6 and folio 33a and 33b. I'm a bit confused because I believe some of the youngsters listed at 33b are actually the children of Charles and Mary Platts of 33a. But then a child was dying at that time, so maybe they were staying with Uncle John Platts and his wife Ann. I don't know if this census does reveal relationships? But anything would be helpful. For anyone visiting Ecclesfield, the graves of these family are quite prominent at the front of St Mary's Churchyard. I saw it on a visit a number of years ago and was quite struck by all the children that died in infancy. I recorded the details. A year later I discovered Charles and Mary were my ancestors! Thanks Ann
