The claim for damage to the Old Park Silver Mill has been transcribed at the Sheffield Flood Claims site - Claim 6397 The SFCA site has been enhanced; I think in preparation for the addition of maps showing the location of the claim. Over 7,000 claims are now recorded. I have an interest in silver rolling as my 3g-grandfather, William Naylor, died 1843 was a silver roller at the Sheaf Rolling Mill, Clough Lane and Bramall Lane. He apparently lived at the mill as the family address is given as Sheaf Rolling Mill on the 1841 census.
