Hi Jeremy, Having been on the receiving end of a like problem are you sure that the Vicar just didn't make a mistake with the name or maybe it was entered wrong at the GRO I would check that marriage out in the PR's.......and then go from there.... .... I have checked the 1841 census and NO Michael Jenkinson or like name that I can find in Bradfield or Ecclesfield,or anywhere in Sheffield....so far..... . The Hill that Karen mentions, could it be Bolsover Hill???? I can only see two Jenkinson listed (for that area) Samuel and Thomas. On Ancestry I also spotted a Michael Richard Jenkinson???? he wasn't from Sheffield. but the right age I believe........ maybe more things to think about.....
