Does anyone know where this is please? RG10 4688 fol 103 p 2 Found on an 1871 census entry for Charlotte Major aged 83 born Sheffield and her grandson Thomas aged 25. There's a death entry on FreeBMD for Charlotte Major in Jun 1872 in the Doncaster Reg District, could this be correct for Sheffield Park? Jay
hello Jay, sorry, Doncaster is altogether elsewhere. South St Park runs North/South from Broad St to Norfolk Road. This is not far to the east of the River Sheaf and the Railway. From a 1919/20 directory, Court 3 was about half way between Anson st and Low St, on the eastern side of South St, quite near the top (ie the Broad St end). This is also not far from St John's Church, Park, but I cannot find Charlotte in the NBI file for this church. 'Park' is in the name of the street to distinguish it from South St Moor, which is now simply 'The Moor'.
