    3. Hi Lisa I cant say for the 1851 census but there are no CUNEO names listed on the 1861 census index for Sheffield & Rotherham. However, there are the following who look to be pretty close to your 1871 family. 1861 census index COMEA Andrea [m] 34 LAN Liverpool 3480 25 COMEA Marinea 29 Italy 3480 25 COMEA Mary 9 Italy 3480 25 COMEA Joseph 6 YKS Sheffield 3480 25 COMEA Eliza 4 YKS Sheffield 3480 25 COMEA Rose 2 YKS Sheffield 3480 25 COMEA Laura <1 YKS Sheffield 3480 25 Regards Gordon List Admin (in Sheffield) Sheffield Genealogy Website : http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~engsheffield ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Evans" <levans44@yahoo.co.uk> To: <ENG-SHEFFIELD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 16, 2005 8:23 PM Subject: [SHEFF] CUNEO 1861 & 1851 census > Hi everyone, > > I am trying to find out when my CUNEO's came to > england, I have there yougest child born in 1853 in > Sheffield and the CUNEO Ice cream business was > established in 1864. 1. FOSTER - 1871 Census
    2. Cliff Prince
    3. Hi Gordon, Do you have the 1871 Census name index? Any chance you could do a look-up for me? John FOSTER, born Sheffield about 1849 is leading me a merry dance. He married my ancestor, Ann PRINCE of Stanton in the Peak, about 1870 (at Eccleshall I assume). He married Ann's sister, Mary, on 18th August 1881 at Fairfield, Derbyshire, allegedly after Ann died. A third sister, Elizabeth PRINCE had a daughter called Mary FOSTER in 1884! On the 1881 Census, John is an unemployed cab driver, aged 31, at Broomhall Street, Eccleshall Bierley. Who was in his cab in 1871? Any help would be much appreciated. Cliff, Ripponden, UK.
