    3. Hello all, I just came accross your list yesterday and I am hoping there might be one of you out there who can make a connection to my family. One branch of my ancestors came over to the state of NY in the US from the areas of West Riding that I understand to be Bolsterstone, Midhope, and Ecclesfield. Two members came over in the 1860's-1870's - Benjamin SENIOR and his son, Benjamin Senior. The first Benjmin was born around 1842 to George Senior (b. 1813) and Sarah CROSSLEY (b. 1813). George's parents were George Senior (b. 1780) and Martha KAY. Sarah's parents were Benjamin Crossley and Ruth ELLIOT. The second Benjamin was born in October of 1865. I do not know who his mother is. Neither she nor any of Benjamin's siblings ever followed them to the US. My grandmother says that her mother used to write to one of Benjamin's (the second one) brothers, and his name was Thomas. We know nothing more, except that both the Benjamins were knife makers. They continued that craft here. I know that there were a substantial number of Senior families in the area, and I am hoping there still are. I would really like to find some cousins and discover more about our past. I appreciate your time. Amanda Wall _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
