    3. As someone has already said there are separate Rootsweb emailing lists for Rotherham and Doncaster. Doncaster Family History Society and Doncaster Archives are both in the same building at Balby, but they are separate entities; the Doncaster Archives is part of the Council set up but the Doncaster FHS is run by volunteers and I can recommend it - however you need to book a place as it gets busy and it costs £2 per visit; no cost for members; however payment has to be made obviously for printing. Websites for Doncaster FHS - http://www.doncasterfhs.co.uk/ Doncaster Archives - http://www.doncaster.gov.uk/Leisure_in_Doncaster/Museums_and_history/Archives_and_Local_history/Doncaster_Archives.asp The Rootsweb emailing lists for Rotherham and Doncaster though are not as widely used as this Sheffield site is. But they are worth a try - ENG-ROTHERHAM-L@rootsweb.com <ENG-ROTHERHAM-L@rootsweb.com> and ENG-YKS-DONCASTER-L@rootsweb.com <ENG-YKS-DONCASTER-L@rootsweb.com> Hilary ----- Original Message ----- From: "carol cooper" <crc45125@ntlworld.com> To: <ENG-SHEFFIELD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 12, 2005 2:10 PM Subject: [SHEFF] query > HI List, > Can anyone tell me if there is a separate rootsweb site that covers the > Doncaster area, or does this site cover that and also the Rotherham > area's? > Carol, Sheffield > > > ==== ENG-SHEFFIELD Mailing List ==== > It helps others to know which message your replying to, so always add a > little of the text from the message to which you are responding.
