Hello Can any one tell me where Manor Castle Yard was my family were living there in 1841.Thank You Looking for all in Sheffield BARNES 1800/1900 Samuel and Elizabeth nee Shearstone WHITE 1870 onwards (before then Surrey and Lincs) Isaac and Elizabeth nee Barnes, Elizabeth emigrated to Australia with daughter Alice SHEARSTONE 1800 onwards BLACKBURN 1880 onwards before that Wakefield Joseph and Louie nee Smith they had 13 children The eldest was John Joseph born 1889 married Elizabeth nee White and moved to Scunthorpe Lincs Heres hoping theres a connection Extended family names may include BARCOCK and SORBY in Sheffield.     3. Hi Bev, I also have a Barnes connection from the Manor but I have had difficulty matching them all up and am still working on the 1841 census so have done no research for a while. My Barnes....... Noah and William both married into my WOODHOUSE Family..... .in the 1850's.. There seems to have been a whole slew of Barnes at the Manor at that time which means there has to be a connection some where....can't have been that populated at that time.......
