Hi Liza, glad I could help, I was also surprised at the Number of Glass Makers in the Area... Do you know if this George Bolsover was related in any way to Thomas Boulsover... I have the Book, 'The Oldest Sheffield Plater', the story of Thomas Boulsover. It was written by John & Julia Hatfield. Boulsover doesn't seem to have been a common name. There was a street named for Thomas and the book suggests that the street was misspelt Bolsover instead of Boulsover... In what time period would George Bolsover have been a Glass Blower? regards, Josephine. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Evans" <levans44@yahoo.co.uk> To: <ENG-SHEFFIELD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 3:08 AM Subject: [SHEFF] RE: Glass makers > Josephine, > > I am glad that you did ask the question as I have been > looking for George BOLSOVER who was a Glass Blower, he > lived in the attercliffe area and I didn't know there > were so many glass makers in the area. > > Thanks > > Lisa > > > >Should really go looking for things before I ask the > >List, and stop answering my own questions; still in > >this case, Margaret maybe wouldn't have got involved > >so I'm glad I asked about Glass Manufacturers... > >Hope the above List is helpful, for anyone else who > >might have wondered about Glass Factories....In my > >own defence...sometimes my back is very bad and I > >cannot sit too long and don't always have the get up > >and go to puruse my source material. > Regards, Josephine, Ontario. > > > > > __________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
