Richard, I have just checked the entry again and it is definitely 30th June 1833 for her birth. I assume you are looking at the IGI directly from the LDS website?................Do you know about the 'Hugh Wallis' pages that link to the IGI? These pages are a way of searching through the records of individual churches to find a particular family name, if you click on the link below this will take you directly to the 'England IGI Batch Numbers,' if you then scroll down to the bottom you will see six separate links that take you to records specifically for Yorkshire, clicking on the Q-S link will give you Stannington & Sheffield, similarly clicking on the A-D link will give you records for Bradfield and so on. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm#PageTitle As an example, if you pickeded Q-S, and when the page has opened scrolled down to Stannington, you would see records for Stannington Christ Church and Presbyterian. The blue highlighted references on the left are for Christenings/Baptisms and the right side blue links are for marriages. Click on a link for Christenings and this will bring up a new window titled 'Specify Your Search Criteria,' enter the surname you wish to search for and then click the 'Submit Query' button, this will then bring up a list (if any of these records are available) for the surname that you're after. You can then click on any of the names and you will then see the full details that are available. I often find this way of searching the IGI far easier than going straight to the LDS site and searching that way, you do of course have to have an idea of where to look though. Give it a go if you haven't already done so. Best Wishes Jeremy Crawshaw (Temp. One small question. The last two entries (children of Joseph and Harriet Armitage) - were their birth dates actually recorded as 30 Jun 1833 and 1 Aug 1833? (could be Mary's date was 1832 and she was not christened until Samuel was on 8 Sep 1833?). I have looked at IGI (batch records from Stannington & Bradfield) and will look with more determination.
