Hello List I would like to buy the birth cert and marriage cert.for Tomasina ASHFORTH born about 1872. She married William PROCTOR of Chapelton (Sheffield) but cannot find vol, page etc. for either of these events. Also looking for page, vol for a birth cert for Rosina Horton, she was born Birmingham but moved to Sheffield and married Herbert OLDHAM in 1885. Can anyone help with this or point me in the right direction. Thank you Diana (Worcestershire)

Hi Diana, The GRO indexes are your best bet have you tried those.......... The Marriage for Rosina Horton is listed on freebmd's have you tried there as well. http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ for your Ashforth's?....................... She (Tomasina) isn't listed on the 1881 census....................... William Proctor.......................I can only pull up 5 of them up on the 1901 census as being in Yorkshire. and the Sheffield area.........his occupation would help to go further...... NO Tomasina Proctor showing up on the 1901 census either....... Sorry about that but there seems to be a few loose ends here..... Kindest regards. Diana, Have to agree with Elaine's comments. I have searched the 1881, 1891 & 1901 and cannot find a Tomasina ASHWORTH at all. If you come across any more info let me know and I'll look again for you.
