Hi All, I've discovered an ancestor worked as a cook at Broom House, Broom Hall at Havelock (?) Square Sheffield, her name was Mary Marie Green who married my g grandfather Frederick HUME. Their daughter Daisy Virginia Hume married Hiram CRAWSHAW. Does anyone have any information regarding this 'establishment'. Also Mary Marie had a son, John William Green, but we know him as John William Hume, did people around 1900 just change their names or was it done officially.
