    3. Hello everyone In chasing my elusive GREENSMITH family I have found one family on the new Sheffield 1841 census living at Bailey Lane. The family consisted of CHARLES GREENSMITH b 1809 MARY his wife b 1805 CHARLES his son b 1839 FANNY his daughter b 1841 However by the 1881 census the family was living at 92 Trippet Lane. The mystery is that the wife is now called ANN b1820. This leads me to suppose that the first wife Mary died after Fanny was born and Charles remarried a woman some 11 years his junior. Can someone with access to the 1851 or 1861 records please check this family to see if we can determine when this might have happened? I have not found any marriage dates or deaths recorded that fit this family. One last intriguing item is that in 1881 there is a granddaughter Mary A Greensmith also living with the family. Could this be Fanny's daughter? She is still there in 1901 but now called the daughter of Charles and Ann! Any help on these questions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
