Here is the request I did want to post: Could SKS with access to parish registers for Bradfield or Nether Hallam help find the marriage of Sarah Lathrope to Farewell Bills about 1870-71? GRO indexes for marriages have been searched several times with no positive results. 1 June 1870, child born to Sarah Lathrope (no father), residence Daniel Hill, Nether Hallam 1871 census: Sarah and husband Farewell Bills, residence 14 Langsett Rd, Nether Hallam. (piece 4662, ED 12, fol 153, page 41, St. Philip's ecc district) 22 May 1872, child (now with Bills surname) dies at Castle Bent, Bradfield; buried St. Nicholas, Bradfield. It would appear the marriage took place between the child's birth in June, 1870, and the census in April, 1871. 1873 & 1875: Bills children born Castles Bent, Bradfield; subsequent children born (1877-1885) Nether Hallam. 1881 census: Grammar St., Nether Hallam.
