Hi Sonia, I was brought up in Sheffield and so I know a little bit about the scissor industry. Richards was at one time called Rickards and was originally a German firm. With the coming of the second world war they changed their name to Richards. I am afraid the actual company is not now in business. They made not only scissors but Penknives and other cutting tools. You could try writing to the Sheffield Cutlers company which has a large exhibition of Scissors as well as knives and other Sheffield made tools.
