I cannot believe how quiet this list is at the moment, so am hoping someone will have time to help me with the following: Ann ELLOT was born in Handsworth, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah ELLIOTT, in 1740. In 1760 she gave birth to a daughter Tabathy, and in 1763 to a son Richard. No father named. I am assuming she did not marry, but have not thus far been able to find her death in Handsworth. The copy of the bishop's transcript I was able to look at was very poor, and illegible in parts, so I wondered if any sort of index was available for it? Her son Richard married in Sheffield, so it is possible she had moved her family there. Does a record of her death appear on any Sheffield Indexes?
