    3. Hi List, Thought I would forward this latest update (see below) which was sent to me from some kind person in AOL land. It is peculiar that the name on Ancestry was written as McHague and McKague, and I inadvertently read it as McHugh... obviously my great grandmother was wanting to be found...food for thought. I also think this points out the fact that one has to look at all possibilities re spelling on censuses etc. nothing is simple. Now if I could only find the family on the 1861 Sheffield census I would be really happy. Wonder what they are masquerading as on that one... Kindest regards, Josephine M. Laxton. 3. Hi Josephine I think I have a similar problem with my husband's great grandmother. Sarah Ellen KENN(EY). She was born in 1869 at Spring Street, Sheffield and I have found her on the 1871 census at Spring Street with her parents and older brother and later on the 1881 census with her widowed mother and older and younger brothers at Spring Street. She gave birth to her daughter Sarah Ann KENN(E)Y at 8 Cross Love Street Sheffield. She married an Edward CLASBY on 1 October 1889 and gives her address as 8 Cross Love Street. In December 1889 Sarah Ellen's mother also, Sarah (nee POWELL) died and the death was registed by Sarah Ellen living at 8 Cross Love Street. However, I cannot find Sarah Ellen or her husband or daughter on the 1891 census. I can however find Sarah Ellen's brother John and his wife Emmelyne with James, Sarah Ellen's younger brother living at 8 Cross Love Street on the 1891 Census. I cannot find them or even Sarah Ann on the 1901 census either. I have tried to search with variations on the name but without success. I did find a Sarah Ellen Kenny as a domestic on the 1891 census which makes her too young but maybe she was lying about her age and marriage to get the job or maybe it was just wasnt her. It is understood she was married 3 times and from the grandaughters of one of these marriages in the name of MOORE, the other names were Connor and Gillespie. On Sarah Ann's first marriage certificate to Rueben BENSON in 1908 she does not give a fathers name but in her second marriage (after Rueben's death) she states her father as Edward CONNOR. So I tried looking under this but nothing fits. Has anyone any ideas on what I should do.
