    3. Hello Beth According to a booklet I have about the Cemetery and new Crematorium (dated 1910) it says the Cemetery is about 2 miles outside the city centre. I would say it is a bit too far out to be able to fit it in within the 3 hours if you are visiting the Cathedral and the GRO. It is quite a way from the station to the middle of Sheffield and uphill all the way! And do you know where at the cemetery you are going to? It is a large place. Is there another way you can get the death cert? You might just be able to fit the other two in if you take a taxi to the Cemetery. Sorry not to be more positive - regards, Ann > Can anyone tell me if City Road Cemetery is anywhere near or at least > within reasonable walking distance of the train station in Sheffield? Do you think it is feasible to visit the cemetery, stop by the Cathedral and stop by the Sheffield GRO and order a death cert, given that I will only have about 3 hours? > This is a bit of a last minute decision to make this trip and as I leave > Monday (from Chicago), I am really down to the wire to make arrangements! > So, any advice anyone can send will be greatly appreciated. > Thanks very much! > > Beth > in Chicago > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
