I am searching for the families Lowe and Redefearn. Sarah redfearn and her children were buried in the quaker grounds at woodhouse. but there is no age for the kids given in the book i was sent or his two wives. Is this normal only to have the name and year. sarah died in 1829 and his second wife Elizabeth Lindley in 1811. Can anyone enlighten me into anything to do with the area or the quakers. Hi Marea, Firstly the area is called Handsworth-Woodhouse. It has a stong Quaker connection and there was a graveyard there. However that has now been taken into someone's garden and is no open to the public as far as I know. The Quakers of that area used to travel great distances to worship and conduct their ceremonies when the meeting first started in the C17. The Lowe family were certainly part of the congregation but I know nothing of the Redefearns. I believe the records are now held in Sheffield Archives.
